Location: Fort Collins, Colorado | Hello, everyone!
-- Well, we changed the plan just a bit this month! As we did in September, we will be running the PHOTO OF THE MONTH contest in October! But, instead of running 2 contests (as we originally advertised), we will be combining the prizes to make an even better giveaway! Also, this month, we will be narrowing the finalists down to 5 (instead of 10) to hopefully make the "play-offs" a tighter match!
How it works: Entry will be open until October 15th - Mike (p51p51), Gleber, and myself will narrow the entries down to 5 finalists and open a poll for members to vote for their favorites. The poll will remain open for 10 days. So, post your coolest RC photo for a chance to win!
Prize: This month, the winner will receive a $25 gift certificate from Bad Brad Graphics AND a very cool prize pack from Higher Plane Productions. The pack includes two DVD's and two calendars. The DVD's feature their signature footage of XFC 2010 and ETOC 2010.
Rules of da' game:
** The photo(s) must be your own. ** The photo(s) must have been taken in the last year (or close to). ** Each user may only post up to 3 photos per contest - any futher entries will be deleted. ** The photo(s) cannot be duplicate entries from last month's contest.
>>> PLEASE RESIZE ALL PHOTOS TO 700 PIXELS (or somewhere around that size range) TO ALLOW FOR FASTER VIEWING!!!!

| I'll get the entries started with pics from the 2010 RDRC Fly For Tots.
Pic#1 A very nice scale electric B-17 with Corsair
Pic#2 A very unique aircraft, flying Leaf Blower.
Pic#3 A 50% scale Cub caught flying with a full scale AT-6 Texan in the background.

It flew quite well. Here's the post where the owner/pilot responded to a question or two I had asked:
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=16099171&postcount=3183
Essentially, the blower itself does not have enough power for propulsion, so two electric motors help. The motors are also tied to the rudder control to help steering, especially on the ground. There's some small video clips of the flight on my Facebook page and Fred loaded its Sunday flight on FlightPass. |

Location: Alaska | Love the leafblower plane too, there had to be some modifications done to it to make it work.
Here's my entries,
1. Similar to last months winner, execpt it's a heli with the same mountain in the backround. Pioneer Peak.
2. Aerobatic fun, inverted flat spin.
3. Same plane and pilot, knife-edge close to the deck, Talkeetna mountain range in the backround.
